The 2021 Baladin hop harvest
The first hop plant was planted by Baladin in July 2009 on the occasion of the annual meeting devoted to homebrewing. All the people who were in Piozzo for Una Birra per l'Estate were loaded onto a bus and taken to the field in Cussanio to start a new chapter in the history of Teo Musso's beers: ensuring a 100% Italian agricultural supply chain for their production.
We have come a long way since that day. Every year, we proudly celebrate the beginning of the harvest of this precious bud - the symbol of beer and, for us, the memory of a hard journey that rewards us with immense satisfaction.
For a couple of weeks, the staff of the brewery puts body and soul into this activity, renewing their contact with nature and strengthening their team spirit. In the fields in Cussanio, Piozzo and Busca we harvest Magnum, Cascade, Chinook, Comet, Cashmere hops. The quantities produced this year will allow us to brew only 100% Italian beers in 2022.
With our hops in bloom, we're already working on a special edition of Nazionale that will be presented soon....
Currently, our 100% Italian beers are: the entire Nazionale range, L’IPPA, Isaac, Super, Sud di Baladin, Birra Baladin 4.8
